Medical Records Institute idea was conceived in 2007 and established in 2014 as a Health Informatics Consulting practise, Project and Programme Management, however due to the changing healthcare environment and the growing needs of our Clients; it became necessary to broaden the services, so as to offer multidisciplinary management consulting services, putting Health Management Information Systems Innovation under one banner. Medical Records Institute has added to our portfolio a full-time IT Programmers for custom built Management Information Systems (MIS) and other software applications.
Medical Records Institute is providing guidance to physicians, medical officers, nurses and other clinicians, hospital and healthcare executives, as well as consultants, IT professionals, and medical records specialists facing difficult health IT decisions. Through conferences, seminars, workshops, online programs, audiocasts, newsletters and surveys, MRI serves as a forum for sharing knowledge, experience, and solutions about the current and future state of health IT. Medical Records Institute has continued to strive towards becoming a complete multi-disciplinary practise offering our Clients the specialist individual attention and solutions required by an ever-changing healthcare environment.
As we entered our 5th year, we recognized a new need for health care as a complete social, geopolitical enterprise. To accelerate the path to the health and care we need, MRI created the Triple Aim, a framework for optimizing health system performance by simultaneously focusing on the health of a population, the experience of care for individuals within that population, and the per capita cost of providing that care.

MRI Community of Practice provides resources and tools to advance health information professional practice and standards for the delivery of quality healthcare. Anchored by MRI-owned content and complemented by government resources and links to external web sites, the Community of Practice encompasses the theory and practice of health information management, and enables HIM professionals to access quickly and easily information needed to be successful.
